Mirror Image: Churches overlooking the water

An itinerary of water and stone that will force you to move in the way Venetians do. We will start in the church of San Giorgio Maggiore, then take a vaporetto to island of Giudecca. After exploring that island, we will take another vaporetto to the sestiere of Dorsoduro, from which we will walk to the basilica of Santa Maria della Salute. Along the way we will explain the tragedy of the Black Plague and explore the secrets behind the Venetian gondola.

Additional costs: Entrance to the bell tower of San Giorgio (€ 3); to the church of Redentore (€ 3); means of transportation (www.actv.it).
Notes: Given the frequent use of public transportation needed for this itinerary we suggest that you buy a daily pass.
